Image of the Beast criticizing the Beast's Crusades/Inquisition?

According to Adventist theology, the Papacy represents the Beast while the United States represents the Image of the Beast, in Bible Prophecy. However, here we have the President and maximum authority of "the Image of the Beast" at this time, criticizing the crimes committed in the name of Christ (by the Beast) in the inquisition and the crusades. We know that this took place during the time of Papal Supremacy during the Middle Ages
in what Adventists believe to be the fulfillment of the Great Tribulation, also described in the Bible as the 1,260 days (years) prophecy. Is the fact that the "Image of the Beast" is openly criticizing "the Beast", a clear indication that these two powers won't come together and unite against Sabbath-keepers anytime soon? What conclusions can we draw from all of this, if anything at all?

I think you nailed it. The Beast nor the Image of the Beast have anything to do with traditional Adventist understanding, but to early Jewish-Christians apocalyptic expectations and the Roman Empire.

the United States represents the Image of the Beast

Brothers, from my reading of the Bible the image of the beast is the capital city of Rome in Italy with embassies reaching all the major kingdoms of the earth. The papacy is what is left of the Roman Empire whose wound was healed when it gaining the sovereign state of the “Holy See” under Mussolini. The Roman Catholic Church is symbolized in the Bible as Babylon because Babylon was the first world empire who concurred God’s people till God freed them by judging Babylon. God calls his people to come out of the Roman Catholic Church before He destroys her on Jesus’ soon return for slaying martyrs for the word of God guaranteed by profits in the Bible.

"Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire. The other “nations” having the “lukewarm” “gentiles” that “grow together” will continue to live “spit” “out” or “left” behind on the earth by Jesus for a thousand years without their “cold” leaders who died allied to the Roman Catholic Church by Jesus’ sword that came out of his mouth at the place called Armageddon. There are three destinies on the coming of Jesus: the “lukewarm” “gentiles” will be “left” alive to “grow together” in “nations” experiencing Jesus as a “thief” who takes the “hot” to heaven leaving them behind, having destroyed the “cold” and incarcerated Satan in the abyss so that he can no longer deceive the “nations” by planting “weeds” among the “wheat” and thus preventing the complete separation of the “gentiles” when Jesus returns for his people. For being so effective at stopping the complete separation of the “gentiles” who “grow together” Satan is stored out of the way in the abyss for a thousand years where the demons begged Jesus not to send them and instead let them go into the herd of pigs.
